Prenatal and Postpartum Women’s Health Sessions:
Training with me before, during, and after your pregnancy provides you with an immense resource that goes beyond our training sessions. As a Physical Therapist with years of experience, I have a vast knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology of the human body. Aside from our sessions; I make myself available to you via e-mail or phone, in case you have any questions about what we learned, or if you need any assistance with your home exercises. I aim to make your exercise sessions safe and appropriate for your skill and energy level, and I appropriately accommodate the sessions based on your reactions and requests.
Our training sessions can be conducted in the comfort of your own home through Telehealth visits, or in my home office where you have to option of indoor or outdoor sessions.
Physical Therapy services include:
- Strengthening and preparing your body to become pregnant
- Addressing physical changes and pains during pregnancy
- Preparing your body for the birthing process through strengthening and functional exercises
- Regaining function, strength, and re-learning how to find proper posture after pregnancy
Before we begin an exercise program, I provide you with a health questionnaire and OBGYN Clearance Form. Once you have OBGYN clearance, we can schedule a Consultation Session. A consultation consists of a health and background check, as well as a physical assessment.
I will assess your posture, strength, and overall physical needs. We will discuss your goals, talk about any concerns you have, and then formulate a plan together that will work for you based on your specific needs.
During the consultation I will show you how to find your neutral spine, assess for diastasis recti, and give you some simple exercises or stretches that you can do on your own, based on your physical needs and ability.
Private Exercise Session:
A typical session usually consists of a warm up, exercises that are tailored to your body type, skills, and needs, and a cool down. I will be as hands on as you need me to be; I will show you the proper way to do your exercises, I will help you with proper form and posture, and I will provide modifications if an exercise does not work for you. I leave time for you to ask questions, voice concerns, etc…
Group Exercise Session:
A group session is perfect for a fun workout with your friends, or a nice way to meet new people who have the same interests as you. I will lead you through an exercise routine and watch as you perform each exercise so I can correct your posture and assist you with any modifications you might need.
